Tape Sensor

Tape Detector

Our "Tape Detectors" are essentially just reflective optical sensors with transistor outputs. The sensors consist of an infrared emitter and phototransistor in a leaded package which blocks visible light. The data sheet for the sensor is located here.

Positioning of Tape Sensors

The tape sensors will be positioned at the bottom of the robot at around .8 inches from the ground.
